SHUNTING LOCOMOTIVE HIRE
Hunslet provides shunting locomotives, from 40 to 150 tonnes, for industrial and depot use, as well as intrinsically safe engines (spark and flameproof) for refineries. Locomotives are available with EU standards compliant radio remote control. Locomotives are available for long- and short-term hire.
LOCOMOTIVE MAINTENANCE
Hunslet’s fully-qualified engineers can service all types of shunting locomotives, diesel hydraulic, diesel electric, industrial or depot engines together with intrinsically safe engines (spark and fireproof) for refineries, as often as required.
COMPONENT/SYSTEM OVERHAUL
Hunslet has the experience and equipment to overhaul complex locomotive and rolling stock systems and components to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards with complete traceability.
SPARE PARTS
Hunslet hosts a comprehensive catalogue of in-stock spare parts. When parts become obsolete, alternatives are identified and sourced, or designed and manufactured to the original specification.
TRACK MAINTENANCE AND
RAIL RECOVERY
In addition to understanding the need for regular infrastructure inspection and maintenance, Hunslet is aware that derailed locomotives halt operations. Our experienced and qualified plate-layers will have stock back on the rails within hours and your rail-reliant business back on track. Site staff can also maintain and repair rail infrastructure. Plate-layers are available for long- and short-term projects.
